Er hatte die Herausforderungen des Erwachsenenschutzrechts und die aktuellen Vorschläge zur Reform des deutschen Betreuungsrechts zum Gegenstand. Die Beiträge befassen sich mit den Vorgaben der UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention und den Entwicklungen des Erwachsenenschutzrechts aus rechtsvergleichender und nationaler Perspektive. Darüber hinaus werden die aktuellen Vorschläge zur Reform des Betreuungsrechts in diesem Band umfassend dokumentiert und aus fachkundiger Perspektive kommentiert. Der Band wird daher in der aktuellen Reformdiskussion eine unentbehrliche Arbeitshilfe sein und soll zugleich weiterführende Perspektiven eröffnen. Band 14 der Reihe „Göttinger Juristische Schriften“. Die Reihe wird von der Juristischen Fakultät der Georg-August-Universität herausgegeben und macht Veranstaltungen an der Fakultät einer interessierten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich.
    The present volume unites the presentations of the 11th Göttingen Family Law Workshop held on 30.11.2012. He dealt with the challenges of adult protection law and the current proposals for the reform of the German care law. The contributions address the requirements of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the developments in adult protection law from a comparative legal and national perspective. In addition, the current proposals for the reform of the care law in this volume are comprehensively documented and commented on from a specialist perspective. The volume will therefore be an indispensable work aid in the current reform discussion and should at the same time open up further perspectives. Volume 14 of the series "Göttinger Juristische Schriften". The series is published by the Law Faculty of the Georg-August-Universität and makes events at the faculty accessible to an interested public.
